Today I'm releasing the fourth in a series of videos that profile recent research about what it takes to live happy, well-adjusted lives. This series is based on a meta-study done in 2020 by the Center for Healthy Minds at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

The fourth pillar -- which I talk about today -- is "PURPOSE."
One of the best-selling Christian books in the past several decades has been Rick Warren's "The Purpose Driven Life." We instinctively know that this is important, but my observation is that, for a variety of reasons, over time we lose focus on the purpose for our lives.

Researchers have been using brain scans to show peoples' level of well-being, anxiety, and sadness in response to various circumstances and stimuli ... and recent research has done this using variables that relate to people having a sense of purpose and meaning behind their involvement with the experiments. Results show what most of us instinctively know: having a clear sense of purpose leads to dramatically better results, and better sense of well-being in the process. Watch the video for
more.

(For reasons unknown to me right now, YouTube is having a glitch with this video and keeps showing it as "private" ... I think clicking on the image should launch it okay, but it won't let you comment on it, for now.)

Have a great week!
